Record the incoming material

Identify grade, diameter, coil condition and batch. Different material conditions may require different settings. Confirm the machine range for the proposed steel before testing, and retain the material description alongside the finished samples.

Use repeatable inspection conditions

Inspect straight sections and flatness with consistent support and reference points, following the agreed acceptance method. For long parts, examine receiving support as well as the processing area. A part distorted during handling should not automatically be treated as a straightening fault.

Adjust in a controlled sequence

Follow the manual for roller suitability, fastening and adjustment procedures. Isolate energy before inspection or maintenance. After an authorised adjustment, make low-speed samples and record the result before returning to normal production.
